After School Club Lead

 

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Supervise and engage children in a range of activities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Assist with serving after-school snacks.
  • Support children in their play, homework and social interactions.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure the welfare of all children.
  • Help set up and tidy the club space before and after sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality wraparound care.

Person Specification:

  • Passionate about working with children and creating a nurturing environment.
  • Reliable, friendly, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in childcare or education is desirable but not essential.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training).
  • A positive attitude and the ability to use initiative.

After School Club Assistant

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the After School Club Leader in providing a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Supervise and engage children in a range of play-based, creative, and recreational activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction, and respectful relationships among pupils.
  • Serve snacks and drinks in line with food hygiene and health and safety standards.
  • Help set up and tidy away resources and equipment before and after each session.
  • Follow the school’s safeguarding procedures and report any concerns to the Club Leader or Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and carers at collection time.

 

Person Specification:

  • Passionate about working with children and creating a nurturing environment.
  • Reliable, friendly, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in childcare or education is desirable but not essential.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training).

Breakfast Club Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Breakfast Club Leader in providing a calm, safe, and welcoming start to the day for all children.
  • Supervise and engage children in a variety of quiet, purposeful, and age-appropriate morning activities.
  • Prepare and serve a healthy breakfast in accordance with food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Encourage good table manners and positive social interaction during breakfast time.
  • Promote children’s well-being, personal development, and readiness for the school day.
  • Build warm, respectful relationships with children, helping them feel secure and valued.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns to the Club Leader or Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Help set up the space before children arrive and support in tidying and cleaning up after the session.
  • Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the Breakfast Club Leader and school staff to support smooth transitions into the school day.
