Choosing a school for your child is a big decision and we would encourage you to talk to and visit any schools you are considering. Prospective parents are more than welcome to look around the school and appointments to meet the Headteacher can be made very easily via the school office.
As a voluntary controlled school we follow Wiltshire Council’s policy for all admission arrangements. Please click on the links below for more information and to access the online admission form.
Entry in the Reception Year
Children usually start school in the September following their fourth birthday. You will need to apply for a school place by the January before they are due to start school.
We would encourage you to visit our school and talk to us when choosing a school for your child. Please contact the school office to make an appointment.
Entry in Other Year Groups
If you want your child to join us in a year group other than the reception year you will need to complete a transfer form. You can get one from us, from your child's existing school (if he/she is currently in a Wiltshire School) or from the Wiltshire Council school admissions team's web pages. The completed form should be returned to Wiltshire Council. Please tell both us and your child's existing school that you are considering a move.
There is a helpful guide that should be read before starting the admissions process.
Each school has an admission authority which is the body responsible for deciding whether a place is available for a child to attend a particular school. Wiltshire Council is the admission authority for all the community and voluntary controlled schools within the county. Where a school is oversubscribed, places are allocated to children in order of the ranked criteria. Please click here to view the oversubscription criteria on the Wiltshire admissions website.
