A big thank you to Mr Godding for coming in to read to Chestnut class today - 08/12
Today we enjoyed reading in our reading corner!
Anti bullying week - we took part in discussions to answer the question - "What is bullying?" We also celebrated our differences and discuss what we could do if we thought somebody was being bullied.
Look at us in our onesies! We had lots of fun wearing these to raise money and awareness for type 1 diabetes.
Today, we took part in an experiment to see which materials let light pass through them and which did not. We learnt the words opaque and transparent!
Thank you Miss Cunningham for coming to read to us in the library today, we really enjoyed your favourite book - "Dear Greenpeace." Remember parents, if you would like to come and read your favourite book to us on a Friday afternoon contact Miss Webber.
Term 1
This term the children have enjoyed making Ancient Greek style clay pots with Mrs Newton. They planned their design, carefully made their pot and then decorated them to finish.
Chestnut class have really enjoyed learning about the Ancient Greeks this term!
This term we have been lucky enough to have a visit from Cassie Paten an Olympic swimmer, who won Bronze in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The children enjoyed completing sports circuits at the Worton site with her.
